Natural Balm for Atopic Skin

Ingredients

  • 20 g shea butter

  • 20 g mango butter

  • 10 ml jojoba oil

  • 10 ml almond oil

  • 10 ml argan oil

  • 1 tsp beeswax

  • 10 drops of liquid vitamin E

  • 5 drops of lavender essential oil

  • 5 drops of chamomile essential oil

  • 3 drops of geranium essential oil

  • 2 drops of tea tree essential oil

Directions

  • Melt theย shea butter,ย mango butter, andย beeswaxย in a double boiler over low heat.
  • Add the jojoba, almond, and argan oils to the melted mixture and stir well.
  • Remove from heat and allow it to cool slightly.
  • Stir in the liquid vitamin E and essential oils, and mix thoroughly.
  • Let cool until buttery, you can also cool it in the fridge.
  • Whip the buttery cream with a hand mixer or in a blender. This step is optional, you can use balm as it is after cooling.
  • Pour the balm into a clean glass jar or metal tin and let it cool completely.

Notes

  • Store at room temperature. The balm keeps well for 6โ€“12 months.
