Ingredients

  • 1 medium head of cauliflower

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 1 lb / 450 g ground beef or lamb

  • 1 cup beef broth

  • 1/2 cup / 1 dl diced bell peppers

  • 1/2 cup / 1 dl chopped green beans

  • 1 diced onion

  • 2 minced garlic cloves

  • 2 tbsp tomato paste

  • 1 tsp thyme

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F /190°C.
  • Steam the cauliflower and mash it with butter.
  • In a large skillet, cook the ground meat, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the meat is browned.
  • Add the green beans, bell peppers, celery, beef broth, tomato paste, and thyme. Simmer for 10 minutes until the vegetables are tender and the mixture thickens slightly.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Pour the meat and vegetable mixture into a baking dish.
  • Spread the mashed cauliflower over the top evenly.
  • Bake for 20 minutes until the top is slightly golden and the filling is bubbling.
