Ingredients

  • 4 cups / 1 liter fresh water

  • 4 cups / 1 liter dandelion flowers

  • 2 large lemons

  • 1-2 tbsp honey

Directions

  • Rinse the flowers gently and drain the excess water using a strainer.
  • Wash and slice lemons.
  • Put the lemon slices on the bottom of the jug.
  • Drizzle 1-2 tablespoons of runny honey over the lemons—the amount depending on how sweet you want your lemonade.
  • Add the flowers to the pitcher
  • Pour cool water over it and stir until the honey has dissolved. You can press the lemon slices so that the pulp comes off.
  • Cover the jug and leave it in the fridge for about a day to brew.
  • Strain the lemonade to extract all the liquid. Taste to see if the taste is right. If you want, you can add lemon, honey or dilute the lemonade with cold water.

Notes

  • It’s essential to check specific regulations for the area you intend to collect plants from, as rules can vary widely. Contacting local land management agencies or visiting their websites can provide detailed information and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and guidelines.
