Ingredients

  • 2 lb / 900 g pork loin / kassler

  • 1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter.

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 6 bay leafs

  • 2 garlic cloves

  • 1 tsp ginger

  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg

  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves

  • 12 whole black peppers

Directions

  • Take the pork out of the fridge one hour before cooking.
  • Preheat the oven to 300°F / 150°C.
  • Rub the olive oil or butter on the meat.
  • Crush garlic cloves and rub it on the meat.
  • Mix salt, ginger, nutmeg, and ground cloves in a small bowl.
  • Rub the spice mix well on the meat.
  • Put meat, bay leaves, and black peppers into an oven dish with a lid.
  • Cook for 4 hours.
  • Shred the meat right away after taking it out of the oven.
